The ‘Unfinished Business’ Series by Joseph Anthony Connor
In 2015, 50 fabulous people walked 90 miles across the mountains of Patagonia. They did this in aid of Velindre: the specialist cancer treatment Centre located in Cardiff who treat over 5000 new referrals and 50,000 new out-patients per year.
The paintings below were inspired by the those involved in the trek who raised £500,000 for Velindre.

Background to the Work
To those who know Joseph’s work the paintings appear more abstract than his usual style. This is purposeful. It is meant to reflect the unfinished business of finding a cure for cancer, and that our relationship with cancer is probably incomplete: 43% of the males and 38% of females reading this are likely to make direct use of cancer care services.
