Site visits confirmed that resort benefits from visible winding paths that lead to open skies and few man made features.
The main skyline features are New Wood, Bulmore Wood, the 2010 Bridge, Rafters and the Main Resort Building
The features were brought into best relief via winter light during the hours of 0500-0700 and 1400-1600
Three golf courses were walked and tonal sketches were produced during these times
'En Plein-air' paintings were subsequently produced
The project moved from abstract paintings to works that involved natural tones & detailed oil and watercolour scenes
